Baifu was a new ornamental rice resource with white stripe leaves, white glumes and white long awns, which was selected by artificial hybridization with striped rice as female parent and Labell as male parent. Lvyehongzhuang was also a new ornamental rice resource, which was bred from the hybrid offspring of striped rice as female parent and Beigu 4 as male parent, and then hybridized with C239 (male). Its leaves were green with white stripes, and its panicles had awns with color changing gradually from white to pink.
