Based on the current situation and existing problems of general education, this paper introduced the phenomenon teaching method to improve the existing general education teaching model. Analyzing the connotation and contents of the phenomenon teaching method, comparing with flipped classroom model, this paper takes college physics course as a case study, then puts forward the application of the phenomenon teaching method of general education in the application-oriented undergraduate universities
