Basic computer course is an important course in colleges, while the teaching efficiency is not satisfactory due to the different background of students. This paper analyzes the challenges in the reform of basic computer course and studies the new teaching mode based on flipped class concept which encourages students to acquire knowledge by self learning. It is showed that such kind of teaching, to some degree, can improve students’interest in learning, promote the teaching efficiency and achieve better teaching results.
