Abstract:Different from traditional Tibet-theme media documentary, the documentary Cordyceps describes families and communities from indigenous viewpoint. This new documentary differs from traditional Tibet-theme media documentary in various aspects, including internal self-presentation perspective, preserving original audio-visual materials, life-oriented narrative. The villagers' documentary is now gradually becoming a powerful supplement to the construction of Tibetan image. This kind of documentary is also a newly rising form used by the Tibetan people in exploring new ways to present themselves in their external communication. Moreover, pragmatically speaking, the author recognized that strengthening the cultivation of Tibetan folk documentary can also improve the effectiveness of communicative actions towards Tibetan region.
