Abstract:In Fujian music, the most representative music genre is Nanyin (Southern tune). It is known as the "living fossil" in China ancient music, and it still uses the ancient musical instruments and keep the original and unique aria. However, with the development of modern society, Nanyin is under threat due to the limited performance forms. This essay tries to find new ideas and ways to promote Nanyin based on ancient traditional aesthetic literary theories and western aesthetic ideas.
