In the context of the national potato staple food strategy, increasing potato production, enlarging the planting area of potato, and improving the unit-yield level and total output，have become a development trend in potato production area. This study designs questionnaire based on the planting scale, cost and benefit, commercialization rate, patterns of consumption and degree of organizational, choosing one potato main producing area in Sichuan Province as the study object. An empirical analysis was conducted on the 260 potato growers in way of questionnaire by using correspondenee analysis of multivariate, data processing and other data splitting method in the SPSS21.0 environment, and some suggestions are put forwarded on industry support, market transaction costs, moderate scale management, staple food consumption habits and so on.
