Purpose : to probe into the relation between procrastination of university student and achievement motivation; Method: this paper uses General procrastination scale and Achievement motivation scale to investigate, in three universities in Fujian sampling, a total of 680 questionnaires, 602 valid questionnaires ;Conclusion: firstly, the Procrastination of university students has reached middle level, secondly, it’s found no notable difference between different genders while there is significant difference between different grades ,thirdly, the procrastination of university student shows an obvious positive correlation with avoiding failure, which means avoiding failure is the effective predictive variable of procrastination.
