Nowadays at the Internet age, the current fact that the students majoring science-engineering industrial design learn freehand sketching has brought about huge challenges to the freehand-sketching expression techniques. During the teaching process, we should make clear the importance of learning freehand sketching expression techniques for students of science-engineering industrial design. Freehand-sketching expression techniques can reveal the basic capability and qualification of professional industrial designers. This paper primarily discusses the teaching background and current situation of freehand-sketching expression techniques of science-engineering industrial design, and it aims at exploring some thoughts about the course reform of freehand-sketching expression techniques of science-engineering industrial design during the teaching process
