At present，there are many problems on the art design teaching of higher vocational education about fuzzy training target，following blindly in professional set，not closing in work-integrated learning，and so on. According to this situation，the author proposes a teaching method of setting up an outside studio，on the basis of a full consideration of the own features of art design，which solved the problem of school fund shortage，improved the students' operational abilities largely，and enhanced the workplace competitiveness of graduates.
