When the transitions connected by two nearly degenerate ground levels with an intermediate level in a five-level K-type atom interact with the same vacuum radiation field, between which the quantum interference leads to vacuum-induced coherence. We find that the vacuum-induced coherence make important effects on singleand two-photon transparency in the five-level K-type atomic system, the single-absorption spectra can also be related to relative phase between the probe and coupling fields
