Xichang，located in the earthquake fault zones in Panxi area，is a city that earthquake crack resistance is in the 9 degree seismic intensity. In the past，there seldom had high-rise building. However，in recent years，the high-rise building in Xichang developed rapidly. This paper will make a brief analysis on the new high-rise building subsidence observation in Xichang，then provide some reference materials for choosing the new buildings’foundation forms of this area in the future through analyzing the geological and foundation conditions in Xichang
