Liangzhe 96-1217 is a new variety which is selected from the cross combination of CP72-1210 and Yuenong79-780.The experiments indicated that the strain have high yielding and sucrose content,drought hardiness,disease resistance,and prematurity or mid-maturation.It also has the character of the high rate of emergence,strong stooling and rhizocarpous,and multi-productive tiller.Therefore,it is suitable to grow in the area of the dry upland.
