Abstract:Based on the strain characteristics of scented rice, this paper studies the effects of environmental and ecological condition on the growth and quality of this crop. It argues that the improvement of scented rice should aim at high yield, disease resistance and high quality. It also proposes how to grow new varieties of scented rice sith such breeding methods as hybridization, rice somatic cells clone variation, and how to produce high quality scented rice that suits the needs of the market by alternately fertilizing mineral elements in maximum, minimum, minim and in ultramicro amount, and by modernizing the ways of transplanting and the technology of water management, fertilizer and manure management.
