This paper summarizes years of exploration experience and practical results on how to cultivate students majoring in the Network Engineering Field in Computer Science and Technology at the School of Information Technology of Xichang University to meet the needs of social development and the requirements of new engineering. With the guide of the reform goals， firstly， the advantages of the Computer Science and Technology major in the School of Information Technology of Xichang University are taken into consideration and the goal of network engineering talent training is clarified. Then， the curriculum system is restructured， teaching modes are optimized， and teaching evaluation is improved. In particular， the concept of outcome-based education（OBE） is adopted to carry out joint training of integration of industry and teaching， and a talent training plan that is in line with the Network Engineering Field in the School of Information Technology of Xichang University is explored. The reform has made breakthroughs in the certification of the network engineering industry and increased employment rate. The team has been selected as a provincial-level course ideological and political teaching team and has published self-made course system textbooks. The achievements of teaching reform can provide certain references for the course construction of related majors in local colleges and universities.
