The characteristics of college students'' psychological development include enhanced self-awareness but immature development， rapid development of abstract thinking but a tendency to subjective bias， reaching the peak of intellectual development level， and having urgent social demands. Based on these characteristics of college students’ psychological development and aiming at cultivating students'' moral character， ideological and political education elements are fully integrated into this course in an all-round way through a combination in-class and out-of-class， on-campus and off-campus， and online and offline. In addition， by improving teaching methods and organically integrating heuristic， discussion based， and guided teaching with situational teaching， the classroom teaching effect of the Pet Clinical Diagnosis course and the ideological and political education in the course have been effectively improved.
