To better meet the requirements of engineering education professional certification， and actively follow the development direction of "sticking to auto industry as the primary industry" in Anhui province， this paper elaborates on the exploration process of software talent education mode for software engineering majors in Anhui Polytechnic University from the aspects of integration of "four sorts of classroom" instruction， self-development of individualized course resources， adoption of open source culture， and optimization of evaluation methods based on our analyses of the development trends of software industry and the requirements for students'' engineering competence. In the past three years， the number and proportion of students in this program who have won prizes in provincial or above-level academic competitions， who have been involved in teachers'' enterprise projects， and who have met major course test requirements for postgraduate entrance exams are increasing year by year. This mode has significantly improved students'' engineering abilities and raised their innovation awareness， thus providing references for the development of relevant programs and talent education.
