Objective This research endeavors to investigate the application of large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) language models within the realm of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). The aim is to bolster clinical applications, augment TCM research, and promote a widespread understanding of TCM knowledge.Method Utilizing deep learning technology, a sophisticated language model was developed to analyze and learn from an extensive corpus of textual data, encompassing ancient TCM manuscripts, medical case records, and contemporary research papers. Advanced natural language processing (NLP) techniques were deployed to extract critical information, and pattern recognition was used as an aid for medical professionals in disease diagnosis. In addition, the model analyzed herbal formulas and their therapeutic effects, offering insights for the development of novel medications; it also worked towards simplifying complex jargon to promote TCM knowledge among the general public.Result (1)The AI-driven language model has effectively supported the TCM diagnostic process, reducing the rate of misdiagnosis and enhancing the speed of accurate diagnoses;(2)In pharmaceutical research, the model has uncovered various potential drug combinations along with their mechanisms of efficacy;(3)Furthermore, by elucidating TCM concepts through the intelligent system, laypersons'' comprehension of TCM has significantly improved.Conclusion The integration of large-scale AI language models within TCM holds a promising future. It not only contributes to the enhancement of clinical diagnostic precision and efficiency but also catalyzes the innovation of new TCM-based remedies. Additionally, it provides the populace with more accessible interpretations of TCM. As technology continues to advance, it is anticipated that such models will play an increasingly pivotal role in the TCM sector, propelling the modernization of traditional medicine practices.
