Abstract:Preparation and characterization of biochar from different parts of corn stover under oxygen-limited environment. The experimental materials were selected from the plantation in central Anhui province, and 300℃/45min, 500℃/30min, and 700℃/15min were used as the pyrolysis conditions to obtain the biochar samples from the skin, flesh, and root parts, and to analyze their yields, pyrolysis characteristics, and pore structures. The results showed that there were significant differences in biochar yields, with the highest in the outer epidermal part; the rate of pyrolytic weight loss increased and then decreased with increasing temperature; the characteristic absorption peaks of the biochar prepared from the three materials at the same temperature were basically the same at increasing PH, and the total number of surface functional groups was reduced, with a decrease in the acidic functional groups and an increase in the basic functional groups. Comprehensive comparative analysis showed that the comprehensive performance of biochar prepared at 500°C was relatively good, and the adsorption effect of straw-fleshed biochar prepared at 700°C was the best.
