Virtual reality technology is fully developed and applied in recent years, of which the digital animation technology is most widely used. In the process of digitalization of medicinal botanical gardens, we need to display a lot of visual information of traditional Chinese medicines and Chinese medicinal plants. Through analysis, classification and processing of visual elements in medicinal botanical gardens, we select some plants to be presented through hand-drawn and digitally animated pictures. Thereby, we can explore the visual advantages of digital animation and study the values of digital animation in the expression of visual elements in actual applications.
