Tartary buckwheat is a traditional short-season pseudocereal crop. As a medicine homologous for food plant, Tartary buckwheat has a medicinal and health protective affection for a long history in our country. In this review, it mainly focuses on the application of genomics tools in the basic genetics, the important agronomic traits and bioactive products of tartary buckwheat.
