Abstract:Abstract: In order to understand the effects of aqueous extracts of six different kinds of Chinese herbal medicine including pomegranate peel, Pulsatilla chinensis, Artemisia annuae,Eupatorium adenophorum, Cortex fraxini and Galla chinensis on the sporulating of rabbit coccidia oocysts. Three different concentrations ( 0.25 g/mL, 0.5 g/mL and 1.0 g/mL) of single Chinese herbal medicine were chose to unsporulated rabbit coccidia oocysts in vitro, the sporulated numbers of rabbit coccidia oocysts were observed in 18 experimental groups for seven consecutive days. The results showed that the six kinds of Chinese herbal medicines had different inhibition effects on rabbit coccidia oocysts to sporulate. 1.0 g/mL of Galla chinensis had the best inhibition effect, the inhibition rate was 41 %; followed by 0.5 g/mL of Cortex fraxini, the inhibition rate was 30 %; 0.25 g/mL of Eupatorium adenophorum and 0.25 g/mLof pomegranate peel had a little inhibition effect, the inhibition rates were 9 % and 8%, respectively; 1.0 g/ mL of pomegranate peel had the worst inhibition effect, the inhibition rate was only 6 %
