As economic capability has become one of the significant symbols of personal ability, investing and financing have played a more and more important role in promotion of individual development. Based on the study of students from higher vocational business colleges and related literature researches, this paper has established a set of comprehensive and systematic index of financial quotient for the certain students. Through analyzing the data from questionnaire and weight calculation, the author has figured out the index of financial quotient of the students in the research. The index is further analyzed in detail to explore the current situation of higher vocational business students. It is concluded that gender and economic base (such as domicile, household income etc.) have the most obvious impact on students’financial quotient by comparing the financial quotient and its related factors. In the end, this paper puts forward targeted suggestions for the improvement of the financial quotient.
