The paper firstly analyzed the management system，administration organization and planning items through the study on the planning and construction of National Geological Parks in China and the USA and pointed out the inadequacy on the planning and construction of Chinese Geological Parks. Then the paper summarized the differences of the planning and construction between Chinese Geological Parks and American Geological Parks and pointed out the future direction of planning and construction for Chinese Geological Parks.
