Abstract:Objective: To analysis the heavy metals content of Paeoniae Radix Alba on the effects of the different water boiling time and circulating frequency. Methods: The contents of Pb, Cd and Cu are detected by the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. The contents of As and Hg are detected by the Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry. Results: The contents of Pb, Cu in radix paeoniae alba is strongly influenced by boiling time. The contents of Cd, As and Hg in radix paeoniae alba is less influenced by boiling time. The contents of Pb, Cd and Cu in radix paeoniae alba is strongly influenced by decoction times under the condition of the same water. The contents of As, Hg in radix paeoniae alba is less influenced. Results: the boiling time should be as shorter as possible with the precondition of fully requirements of the decocting technology. Try to change water every decoction times.
