The process of urbanization has caused huge changes to our society. As an endangered intangible cultural heritage，protection and heritage of the traditional martial arts are facing opportunities and challenges. By analyzing the positive and negative effects on traditional martial arts generated in the process of urbanization，this paper deduces the implementing approach of the protection and heritage of traditional martial arts in the urban environment.
