In this paper,it analyzes the phenomenon of spalling failure in the process of concrete pile impacted by a hammer. Based on the LS-DYNA nonlinear program,the dynamical performance of concrete pile into the soft soil foundation impacted by a hammer is simulated. Taking into account the theoretical model,some analysis are conducted to discuss the influence factors of the spalling failure. The analysis results show that the compression and tension of stress wave directly influences pile spalling mode. The research results can provide guidance to the design,manufacturing,and construction of piles.
