By using the methods of literature material，teaching practice，questionnaire and statistics，etc，the authors have surveyed and researched the application of PBL teaching mode in sports sociological course. The result shows that：PBL teaching model can make the sports sociological course become more interesting，improve the enthusiasm of professional sports students' study，help to deepen and extend the students' knowledge，and train the students' social practice ability，which can still make students grow by continuously overcoming difficulties meeted in the course of PBL teaching. At the end of this article，the authors put forward several related suggestions according to the problems easily appeared in the course of implementing PBL teaching model.
