Personnel training of western region is a reliable guarantee for western economic and social development. Therefore，practical education as an effective method of training becomes a focus of attention. This paper investigated and studied the current situation of the practical education on Yi college students of“the first class”in Xichang College，analyzed its shortages，and came up with some suggestions. At last，this paper said that only paying more attention to the practical education of Yi students can we change our ideas and teaching ways，and achieve the harmonious，perfect and healthy development of national education.
