The paper is doing a research in accordance with the newly modified contents of implemented 2008 basketball rules and the one that will be implemented in 2010. By understanding the spiritual essence of basketball rules, it is to make people understand the impact of new rule on the basketball technique and tactics, and make coaches familiar with the new rule as soon as possible during the basketball training, so as to make some relevant improvement, which will provide the reference for basketball teaching.
