This paper summarized the soft chemical synthesize methods of rare earth inorganic materials. The synthesize methods included of precursor, sol-gel process, hydrothermal synthesis and so on. The advantages and shortcomings of every method were discussed. The synthetic methods of rare earth inorganic materials were prospected.
