An investigation into pomegranate diseases in Panxi Area between 1999 to 2004 shows that withered branch tip disease has a common occurrence in different production areas and the situation is worsening with the increase of growing area. According to the disease's traits in diagnosis, antibiotics reaction, we have confirmed its pathogence is phytoplasma.
